The Little Train offers you a tour of 45 minutes rich in commentary, details and anecdotes whilst discovering the ancient, historic and contemporary must-see monuments in Nimes.
Hop on board and let yourself be carried away through the boulevards of the recently restored city centre discovering the prestigious monuments such as the Arena; the best preserved Roman Amphitheatre in the world built at the end of the first century, la Mason Carrée (the Square House) in its exceptional state, les Jardins de la Fontaine (Gardens of the Fountain) truly a green lung of the city, and also la Porte Auguste (the Gate of Auguste); point of entry of via Domitia.
Every point of interest along the itinerary will be indicated with French and English audio commentaries. The history of the monument or place, as well as, its evolution through time will arouse your curiosity. Other contemporary buildings will be explored like le Carré d'Art Jean Bousquet (Contemporary Art Museum) and the future Musée de la Romanité (Museum of Roman Antiquities) which will open its doors in June 2018; a true showcase of the city's high exceptional quality of its antique heritage and its archaeological collections.
